Context and needs
The digital economy has created business opportunities accessible to young people with few resources, but it requires specific skills that few of them have. Young people know how to use the platforms, but rarely how to use them to build something.
Objectives
The project aimed to stimulate entrepreneurial skills in the digital and IT field: understanding digital business models, validating an idea with online tools, basics of digital marketing and online presence, and awareness of the risks related to data, security and dependence on platforms.
Activities
Ten days in Bodo. Sessions on digital business models, from platforms and services to content and e-commerce, idea validation workshops, work in mixed teams that developed digital business ideas, built simple prototypes, landing pages, questionnaires and mock-ups, and tested them on the other participants. Final presentations and individual follow-up plans.
Results and impact
Participants left with a practical understanding of the idea–validation–prototype cycle and with a Youthpass certificate. A few of the ideas were continued at home, as volunteering projects or small local initiatives.
